                      1.3.2.  K-wwire and K-wwire handlee


               The K-wwire and thhe K-wire  handle aree reusable  products.  Be carefuul, K-wire  is very
               sharp.  Wearing ggloves is rrecommennded.



               Using the K-wire handle is rrecommendded to inseert the K-wwire. Insertt the K-wire in the
               handle: (see figuure 1).  Beeware thee insertionn directioon:  sharp   tip should stay
               outsidee of the K-wire handle. Screww and unscrrew the chuuck to secuure and releease the
               K-wire.  K-wire is used to loccate the center of thee channel aand to guide the dilatoors (see

               next chapter).

                      1.3.3.  Dilators, dilator holder annd probe


               Dilatorss and dilatoors holder aare reusable. The disposable probe is a ssterile single use
               producct. Check tthe expiryy date and  the packaaging befoore use. Diispose afteer use.

               Step  11: Plug  thee probe too a suitable electricaal source  via DIN  442802 toucch proof
               connecttors.


               Insert ccarefully the probe in  the smalleest dilator ttube groovee. The deteection ball (located
               at the eend of the pprobe) will  be exposed at the ennd of the dilator (see ffigure 2). TThe ball
               probe  should neever stickk out  fromm the distaal end  of  the dilatoor probe.  Do not

               overstrrain nor press too hhard whilee inserting the probee.
