Step 2: Use the ddilator holder to handlle the dilatoors (see figgure 3). Dillator holderr can be
connectted to the ttable clampp to avoid ssurgeon hannd exposurre during X--rays.

Step 3: Slide dowwn carefully the smalleest dilator ccontaining tthe probe into the wound.

Step 4: Remove tthe probe ffrom the dillator once nnerve monitoring is coompleted aand slide

carefully the largest dilatorr on top of the smallest dilatoor. Nerve mmonitoring can be
performmed at this stage usingg the groovve located in the dilatoor.

Step 5: Once the largest dilaator is in poosition, it wwill provide the surgeoon with the desired

diameteer where tthe retractor blades will fit tighhtly aroundd it for the insertionn of the
device.

Removving advicee: First remmove the prrobe, then the dilator.. Dispose thhe probe affter use.
