HEART HEALTH MONTH
The month of February is consistently known as Heart
Month. It allows the community to focus specifi cally
on the heart and how we can keep our hearts healthy.
Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the
United States. For this reason, individuals of any age
can make small changes to keep their hearts healthy.
Although hereditary factors and genetic background play
a role in how healthy your heart can be, there are several
other factors that you can control just by making simple
changes to your everyday lifestyle.
Do your best to share your healthy habits with friends
and family. Making small changes are the best way to
adapt. By making changes gradually, small modifi cations
become habits.
TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR
HEART HEALTHY

di erent spices to season your food.
