               Mindset: Thinking about your career
This is something that you have never heard before. Let me share some good shortcuts.
1.What do you have to offer?
2.What do you want to do/be
3.How do you build toward a CAREER- not just a job.

1.What do you have to offer?

                   • Personality traits: Your characteristics to determine the type of job you will do best. So,
try to know yourself and explain what kind of personality you are.
                   • Functional skills: You can show your functional skill through your achievements that you
are proud of e.g.sports players, tutors. You can show a big story behind your achievement
and skills for achievement and try to match an employers’ demand. If you can make it to
be what your employer is looking for, It might be valuable to employers.
                   • Education and experience: This is one of the key parts that employers will pay attention
to especially in newly graduated. You can show your Specialty/Track, Extracurricular
activities, and work experiences to them because these will make you outstanding from
average. The employers love to see those who have experience but they dislike to see
those who cannot do anything except study. So if you do not have a good GPA, you do
not have to worry about it too much because you can sell your idea instead.
               Trends on Employment

The 9-to-5 job is a job with standard working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
A person who does a 9-to-5 job and works in offices is called a white-collar.

                   • The 9-to-5 job has disappeared!

People expect you to work long hours. The key that makes you do it naturally is ‘enjoy
your working’. Work has become more time-consuming, multi-tasking, less stable but also
more flexible. Especially with COVID-19, it would be work from home that saves a lot of
money, traveling time but they expect you to perform very well.

                   • The Future of Manufacturing-Led Development in Developing Countries (World
Bank), will use more AI and fewer people.
