RESOLUTION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE
AND STORMWATER & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING AWARDING A

CONTRACT FOR THE WILLOW ROAD SOUTH EXTENSION PROJECT

WHEREAS, the Village of Sturtevant received bids for the Willow Road South
Extension Project in the Village that was previously authorized by Resolution 2018-12; and

WHEREAS, A.W. Oaks and Son is found to be the lowest responsible responsive
bidder.

WHEREAS, at this time the Village would like to proceed with said improvements;
and

NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County,
Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. That the awarding of a contract to A.W. Oakes and Son of Racine,
Wisconsin, in the amount of $4,287,509.51, for the installation of a
controlled intersection at Highway 11 and 84TH Street, and construction of
new Willow Road South from Highway 11 to Broadway Drive. Construction
to consist of paving, curb and gutter work, sidewalks, storm sewer
improvements, traffic signal, signage, pavement markings, and storm water
management pond to be completed using Tax Increment #4 2018 Bond
Issue proceeds. That the funds for said contract and said project shall be
taken from Fund 304.

2. That the total costs for the project shall not exceed $4,350,000 which
includes engineering, legal and administration and contingencies. That the
Village Administrator is authorized to execute change orders provided that
the total cost of the project does not exceed $4,350,000

Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County, Wisconsin,
this 26th day of June, 2018.
