RESOLUTION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
AND STORM & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT
WITH CENTURY SECURITY FOR UPDATES TO THE FIRE ALARM PANEL

AT VILLAGE HALL

WHEREAS, the fire alarm panel at Village Hall has failed and can not be
repaired; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Sturtevant received bids for the replacement of
the fire alarm panel; and

WHEREAS, Century Security is found to be the lowest responsible
responsive bidder; and

WHEREAS, submitted a separate proposal that includes upgrading the
fire alarm panel to meet future needs; and

WHEREAS, at this time the Village would like to proceed with quote for
said replacement that allows for future needs.

NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. That the awarding of a contract to Century Security, Racine,
Wisconsin, in the amount of $7,653 for the upgrade of the fire
alarm panel at Village Hall.

2. That the funds for said work shall be taken from Fund 101, Fund
Balance.

3. That the total costs for the project shall not exceed $8,000.
4. That the Village Administrator is authorized to execute and/or

change orders provided that the total cost of the project does not
exceed $8,000.
5. That the Village President and the Village Clerk are authorized
to sign any agreements or other documents necessary to carry
out the intent of this resolution.
