“Parkside playing and administrative legend Herbert Edward (Herbie) Pascarl, a founding member of
the Footscray District Football League (Western Region Football League) in 1931, died at Box Hill
Hospital on February 3, aged 95.
Tributes have come from the WRFC, administration, and local football clubs in acknowledgement of
Mr Pascarl's outstanding contribution to local football from 1921 until his death. WRFL spokesman
Mark Stone described Mr Pascarl as a "very sporting minded person".
