Hever Castle

                                                                               by Katie

I lost count of how many times I visited Hever Castle. I think it’s

unique and it reverberates some of the history of England’s kings and
               queens long gone.

The castle is in the village of Hever near Endenbridge in Kent. It was
                                 th
built in the 13 century and was once home to the Boleyn family,
                               nd
where the 2 wife of King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, spent her
               childhood years.

The Castle is decorated as it would have been back in Tudor time.

you can see the headboard which ornated Anne Boleyn’s bed in her

               old bedroom.

In 1903, William Waldorf Astor bought and restored the castle. He

created the beautiful lake and a romantic Italian garden, which has

               ancient Greek and Roman statues.
