There is difficulty in determining the names of the Hyksos kings
who ruled the country, but it is mentioned that about six kings
ruled during the 15th Dynasty, 32 during the 16th Dynasty, and
as for the 17th Dynasty, there were 43 kings of them ruling in the
north at the same time that the Egyptians ruled the House of
Thebes. The liberation movement began. From the House of
Thebes in the 17th Dynasty, led by Seqenenre, and after him his
two sons, Kamose, then Ahmose, who pursued the Hyksos until
Sharuhin in southern Gaza.
