Eighteenth Dynasty
(Ahmose I, Amenhotep I, Thutmose I, Thutmose II, Hatshepsut,
Thutmose III, Amenhotep II, Thutmose IV, Amenhotep III,
Amenhotep IV, Tutankhamun, i.e., Horemheb
Ahmose I: After he liberated the country from the Hyksos, he
headed south to restore Lower Nubia, as well as he controlled the
influence of the regional rulers. He restored the temples that had
been destroyed and made Thebes the capital and religious center
of the country. He left no trace to tell us about his rule except the
tomb of one of the officers in El Kab, who was called Ahmose
son of abana, as for the most famous women of his time were, his
grandmother Titi-Sheri, his mother Ahhotep, and his wife
Ahmose-Nefertari.
