The twentieth dynasty
(Setnecht, Ramesses III, successors of Ramesses III)
Ramesses III: He made many achievements during his 32 years,
especially in securing the borders. In the 5th year of his reign, he
led a war against an army of the Libyans and Indo-European
tribes, and in the 8th year another war against the Sea Peoples and
was able to destroy their fleet, and in the 11th year he defeated
the Meshiush tribes, and he also recorded a campaign to Asia to
recover some of the Asian cities that declared their independence
after the death of Ramesses II, including Kadesh. There are other
opinions that say that he did not launch a campaign, but he tried
to record this event for the sake of propaganda and pride in his
military power.
He recorded all His military campaigns in the walls of his
Temple of Medinet Habu which is one of his most important
monuments and he built his palace next to it. He also took great
care of the priests and temples, and spent the last part of his life
in luxury and comfort with his concubines, which he recorded on
