22nd dynasty :
Its rulers were of Libyan origin and infiltrated into Egypt as
mercenaries in the army and as merchants, and they were able to
merge with the Egyptian people, and they became Egyptians and
worshiped their gods. This is the custom followed by the kings of
this dynasty, that is, to appoint their eldest son to the position of
high priest, and among the most important of its kings are
Shashang the First, Sargon the First, Shashang the Second, Teklot
the First, Sargon the Second, Taklot the Second, Shashang the
Third and the Fifth.

Tell Basta in Zagazig was their capital, and Shashanq I, the
founder of the dynasty, was able to chase the last king of the 21st
Dynasty and expel him from Tanis. The most important events
that took place in this dynasty was the campaign that Shashanq
launched to Palestine in the fifth year of his rule, and he was able
to defeat the son of prophet Solomon, Rehoboam. He took the
