The Twenty-Fourth Dynasty: Its founder, Tephnakht, ruled
from Sa-al-Hijr. This dynasty lasted for 15 years, and he was able
to subjugate the east and west of the Delta. While he was carrying
out reforms, the Nubian king Ankhe came from Nubia in the
south and met the army of Tephnakht and was able to conquer it,
and thus the 25th Dynasty was founded.
