PAINTS
AND
PRIMERS
THE IMPORTANCE OF
USING PRIMERS
Using a dedicated primer before your final coats of paint has many benefits. The most important benefit of
using a primer is to ensure proper adhesion of the paint to the substrate. A primer will also increase the
practicality and longevity of your finish as it ensures proper adhesion of the paint to the substrate/surface.
In some cases, a low cost PVA paint is used as a primer, however, only provides two of the functions than a
dedicated primer. A PVA paint will seal the substrate and hide some blemishes, but does not promote adhesion,
which may cause paint to flake and peel off the walls.
Benefits of a Primer Coat. Applying primer over new surfaces seals the original material so that the paint doesn't
soak into it, requiring extra coats. Primer also helps to hide joints, or seams, on new drywall.
YOUR WALL IS YOUR
CANVAS
Our waterbased primers and waterproofing are made from special
formulated polymers which gives it the elasticity and penetrating
and adhesive properties needed to ensure a well treated substrate
providing a perfect canvas for every paint task.
