the resource will help change the eLearning culture of my school by presenting the
benefits of parental involvement in education. From my research it is clear that
parents choose to be positively involved in their child’s education and therefore it is
important for the teachers to set realistic pupil educational expectations for the
parents and provide them with the guidance, encouragement and tools necessary to
support their child’s learning and development.
Using the EEA (Educational Entrepreneurial Approach) to action research (Crotty,
2014) allowed me explore my educational values, my workplace and its eLearning
culture. By employing this methodology, I gained a better understanding of our
school’s eLearning vision and areas of potential improvement and change.
Throughout the Planning, Designing, Creating, Implementation and Reflection
stages, I was able to collaborate with my work colleagues, the parents of our school,
the pupils and my college peers. I was able to involve the school community to
create a multimedia resource that would benefit all, particularly the pupils and their
parents.

by meeting and collaborating with like-minded people who share a keen interest in
eLearning and pedagogy. These same people both challenged and instilled
confidence in my ability to design and create a multimedia resource and I found this
collaboration process to be an immensely beneficial experience.

As the research draws to an end, it will continue outside the timeline of this study. I
will reflect on what has been created and continue to improve the resource in my
attempts to further improve meaningful parental involvement within our school. The
skills of collaboration, communication, and leadership acquired on this research
journey can be transferable in my workplace and also in life. From this research I
will take away a renewed zest for learning and will strive to be at the forefront of the
