Make-up Work:



               It is your responsibility to determine what work you are

               missing and to complete it in a timely manner.  For
               example, if you are absent one day, you have one day to

               make-up the work.  If you’re absent two days, you have

               two days to make-up the work, etc. Missing work may be

               identified on Aspire which is accessible to all parents and

               can be accessed from the NWA’s website.

               Description




               Sixth grade literacy will focus primarily on teaching

               scholars reading and writing strategies to help them
               become expert and self-directed readers and writers. This

               will prepare scholars for 7 -grade and help them become
               better concept-oriented learners.


               Sixth grade math is basically a review of previous
                                                        th
               concepts learned in the 5  grade and expanding those
               concepts with ratios, proportional relationships,

               expressions, equations, statistics and probabilities in

                                          th
               preparation for 7  grade math which is very difficult if the
                 th
               6  grade standards are not mastered.
