a scholar receives five or more tardies, their citizenship
grade may be affected. If your scholar is sick or going on
vacation, they are expected to make-up the work they
missed. If you have perfect attendance for the entire term,
you will receive an incremental grade bump. Excused
absences will not count against you.
Rules
1. During course instruction only one person may speak
at any one time and that is Mr. Carlson. Permission to
speak or ask a question, while Mr. Carlson is instructing,
teaching, lecturing, etc., may be given by raising your
hand and patiently waiting for permission.
2. Upon entering the classroom, scholars are to
immediately get necessary materials and begin opening
activities which will be posted on the whiteboard.
3. "Rule Number 6" will be the guide for conduct in my
classroom… We will discuss this rule in detail for the first
two weeks. Rule Number 6 is “Don’t take yourself too
seriously!” and includes more than it may seem on the
surface.
4. No gum at any time in the classroom!
5. Each scholar is required to enjoy recess and P.E.
outside in the fresh air. If your scholar has been sick,
he/she may have permission to stay inside one day after
