ATLANTA!
The Signature Program participants, GEMS
and EMBODI, attended the Atlanta Black
College Expo in Atlanta, Georgia on Satur-
day, February 3, 2018. The participants
were able to visit over 100 historically black
colleges and universities, as well as other
higher learning institutions to gather infor-
mation regarding college admission and
scholarships. Our Signature Program par-
ticipants were encouraged and shown the
importance of higher education. They were
able to spend the day meeting representa-
tives from colleges and universities, ask val-
uable questions, and receive vital infor-
mation that is needed to attend the college
or university of their choice.
Participants were also able to attend semi-
nars throughout the day such as “How to
Find Money for College”, “How to Maximize
Financial Aid”, “How to Prepare for College”,
and several other topics. This was a won-
derful addition to the College Expo. It al-
lowed our Signature Program participants to
receive “real-time” guidance and infor-
