The Coolest Grand Dad

What honor it was to have known Richard Dean. He was the coolest gentle-
man that was adored by all and brought joy with him everywhere he went.
His legacy will forever live on in our hearts. A legacy that was formed from
faithfully following Jesus Christ. I kid you not, I can't even count the number
of places that welcomed me with open arms because I was "Richards'
grandson". It would always be followed by a funny story or a story of how
               he changed their life.

Mathew 6:33 (KJV)"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteous-
ness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
You see, my grandfather taught me many life lessons, that ranged from

swimming to the proper way of opening a coconut (I'm lowkey the best
coconut opener). But most importantly, I got to see the results of a faithful
walk with Christ (Not to say everyone's walk will look the same).
My grandfather made his relationship with Jesus the most important thing,
as a result, I saw how God blessed him with many roles he was teacher,
choir director, artist, counselor, mentor, provider, disciplinarian, musician,

painter, transportation provider supervisor, superintendent, Kiwanian,
group leader, headmaster and the list goes on. But no matter what achieve-
ment or position he got he used it to glorify God and expand God's kingdom.
You see when you faithfully walk with Christ you can't help but positively
affect those around you. A lesson that I will never forget.
Though I am going to miss him, God has granted me peace. And reminded
me that my grandfather fought the good fight, ran a good race and kept the
               faith till the end.

I would encourage you if you haven't yet, give God a try.

               RIP and congratulations Granddad.
