Section 2 Notices and Waivers
1 Whenever any notice is required by these Bylaws or any Law to be given
to a ny member of the National Scout Council, or member of the National
Executive Committee or any Committee or such officer, such notic e except
as otherwise provided by these Bylaws, or by any Law may be given
personally or by e-mail, fax, addressed to such person at his or her place of
business if any, or at such address as given to The Scout Association of The
Bahamas as the home address of the person, any notice given shall be
deemed to have been given when it shall have been delivered for
transmission and any notice given by mail shall be deemed to have been
given when it shall have been deposited in a post office.
Article 10 Fiscal Year, Seal and Amendment
1 The Fiscal Year of The Scout Association of The Bahamas shall be

1 January to December 31 .
2 The seal of The Scout Association of The Bahamas shall be in the form
of a circle enclosing the universal badge with the motto “Be Prepared”
underneath this and the words The Scout Association of The Bahamas
around the circle and shall be used only as authorized.
3 These Bylaws may be amended at any meeting of the National Scout
Council upon recommendations of the National Executive Committee or
when the proposed amendment has been sent to members of the National
Scout Council at least 15 days in advance of the meeting. All amendments to
these Laws must first be approved by the National Executive Committee of
The Scout Association of The Bahamas before being submitted to the
National Scout Council for adoption.
