2 All receipts from registration fees and any other funds of Te Scout
Association of The Bahamas which are received by Districts for
transmission to the National Office shall be carefully segregated, through
bookkeeping and accounting procedures as established by the National
Executive Committee.
Section 3 Administration of Group Funds
1 At the request of group committees under the jurisdiction of The Scout
Association of The Bahamas the treasurer may hold for such committee
funds for the groups. Such funds shall be transferred in whole or in part to
the custody of the group upon duly accredited authority of such transfer.
2 In the event of the dissolution of a group, the group committee shall.
apply group funds and property to the payment of group obligations and
shall turn over the surplus, in any to The Scout Association of The Bahamas.
Article 9 Additional Administrative Matters
Section 1
Any person made a party to any action, suit, or proceeding, civil or criminal,
by reason of the fact that such person, his or her testator or intestate , is or
was a member of the National Executive Committee or Committees of the
National Executive, or an Officer, or National Council Member, or
employee of The Scout Association of The Bahamas shall be indemnified by
The Scout Association of The Bahamas against reasonable expenses
(including amounts paid by way of judgment and settlement and including
attorney’s fees) actually and necessarily incurred by him or her in
connection with defense of such action, suit or proceeding, whether or not
such defense shall be successful in whole or in part, in connection with any
appeal therein or any settlement thereof, except in relation to matters as to
which it shall be adjudged or misconduct in performance of duties. Such
indemnification, if afforded shall not be deemed exclusive of any other
rights to which such persons may be entitled apart from this section. This
section shall not be deemed to limit any power or exclude any right of The
Scout Association of The Bahamas to provide any additional or other
indemnity or right for any National Executive Committee member, officer,
employee or other person. If this section should be invalid or ineffective in
any respect, the validity and effect of this section in any respect shall not be
affected.
