Our Mission
The mission of the Birmingham City School system is to guide all students to achieve excellence
in a safe, secure and nurturing environment.
Our Vision
Birmingham City Schools will be a recognized leader in public education meeting the needs of a
diverse student population prepared to succeed in a global society.
Purpose
The purpose of this strategic remote learning plan is to implement the necessary strategies
and expectations needed to meet the learning needs of students who are home bound due to
the Pandemic of COVID-19 so they may continue to meet annual growth targets as identified
in the schools ACIP.
