            Another one of those mystery Chinese silver marks. This is the only item recorded as having carried this mark.
            It is George III in style and even feels like English Georgian silver but it is marked with the .85 silver purity.

            This open sugar basin is of a style probably more suited to the American market than the British and research
            shows this did make it to the east coast/Massachusetts area.  It could also have been made for one of the many
            Anglo-Saxon merchants resident in Hong Kong at the time.
