The previously illustrated lidded canister by Jing Fu displays an extraordinary capability of the art of enamel
work on silver. What is still unknown is whether the cloisonné work was carried out in Shanghai or was sent to
Beijing; that said, the style of this canister is not typical of Beijing work, albeit it is totally steeped in traditional
decorative motifs. The date of the canister is probably circa 1885-90.

The traditional tea pot and two cups with saucers [above] is yet another extraordinary example of the art of
enamelling on silver and the work of Jing Fu. The detailing of the overall meander pattern ground has obviously
been executed by a master silversmith very much in charge of his craft. The champlevé enamel motifs and
            borders are all highly traditional.
