reticulated cage work where even
the finial atop the stopper has
had the same degree of attention
by the artisan silversmith who
created it. As with many of the
retail silversmiths of the time,
very strict control was exerted on
both design and quality, albeit
the style of design is quite
diverse with regards to Kwan

dated to circa 1915-20; an interesting retention of an essentially classic forms decorated with traditional
Chinese motifs but with a sense of the contemporary.!
