[Above] - one of the most impressive examples of late 19th century Chinese silver making interpretations of
            neo-classical “Georgian” baluster silverware. Small adaptations have been subtly made such as the coromandel
            handles and the carved coromandel finials in the form of small pagoda roofs.
            The  circa  1895  three-piece  tea  set  below  has  a  heavily  repoussé  work  chrysanthemum  motif  against  a  finely
            hammered ground that is emphasised with the slightly matt polished plain silver.
