Tea and coffee pots abound in this
style in the Chinese Export Silver
repertoire but few match the
quality and skill that has been
lavished upon this example.

landscape tale that unfolds around
the pot is superb, the quality of the
planished ground is extremely high
and the definition that has been
created in the faux bamboo effects
is about as high as one could
possibly achieve.
It is obvious that Tuck Chang & Co
had a highly discerning mind at its
helm and was equally demanding
of its artisan silversmiths. This is
what makes so many of the
Chinese retail silversmiths special.
