The first with a concave lip and recessed foot,
the mottled inclusion carved in low relief with
a horse tied to a post; the second, slightly
larger bottle similarly carved; the third carved
with a horse led by two monkeys, all with
coral stoppers. The largest: 6cm (2 3/8in) high
(6).

A group of three snuff bottles
Qing Dynasty
Comprising: a sky-blue and mauve overlay
glass bottle with writhing chilongs, stopper;
an under-glaze red decorated blue and white
bottle with a narrative scene; a moulded
famille rose ‘Eighteen Luohans’ bottle,
Qianlong four-character mark, red hardstone
stopper.
The glass bottle: 7.1cm (2 3/4in) high (5).

An inside painted glass snuff
bottle
Signed Gui Xianggu, dated Dingyou year,
corresponding to 1897
The flattened bottle with a short recessed
foot, the front finely painted with a berobed
scholar sage observing a bleak winter
landscape, with his attendant to one side, the
reverse with a five line poetic inscription, gilt-
metal mounted hardstone stopper. 6.2cm (6
3/8in) high (2).
