A SILVER-INLAID BRONZE CENSER,
FANGDING
LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY
The censer, of rectangular section, is raised on four
cylindrical feet. Each side is intricately embellished with
silver inlay to depict a taotie mask, the base is inlaid with a
Shisou mark. Each of the four corners is divided by vertical
protruding flanges and the mouth rim is set with a pair of
upright loop handles.

A SILVER-INLAID BRONZE TRIPOD
CENSER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The rounded body of the censer is finely inlaid in silver with
a pair of taotie masks below a wave band on the galleried
rim, set with two upright loop handles. It is raised on three
columnar feet, each further decorated in silver inlay with
geometric shapes. The base is inlaid with a two-character
Shisou mark.
