A SILVER-INLAID BRONZE TRIPOD
CENSER
QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The censer is well cast with three taotie masks against
a leiwen ground divided by three flanges, below a an
everted rim and a pair of upright handles inlaid in
silver with key-frets.
8 in. (20.5 cm.) high, wood stand, wood cover with
jade finial

A BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER
MID-QING DYNASTY
The censer is cast with a flattened globular body
supported on three tapering feet, surmounted by
two upright loop handles. The base is cast with four
characters Xian Xian Shi cang, ‘Collection of the Xian
Xian Clan’. It has an attractive finely speckled patina.
