THREE SMALL BUDDHIST FIGURES
Comprised of a 17th century gilt-bronze figure of a
seated Buddha with right hand in bhumisparsa mudra
and left hand in dhyanamudra (8.5 cm. high); an 18th
century silver figure of a seated Buddha on a double
lotus base with right hand in the earth-touching gesture,
bhumisparsa mudra, and left hand in dhyanamudra holding
an alms bowl (6.6 cm. high); and a 14th century bronze
figure of a bodhisattva seated in dhyanasana with hands
held in vitarka mudra, the tiered crown and pendent
jewellery inlaid with turquoise beads
(9.4 cm. high). (3)

Qing Dynasty, 17TH CENTURY
Comprised of a gilt-bronze figure of Avalokitesvara in
the form of Sadaksari seated in dhyanasana on a lotus
base, the forward pair of hands joined in gesture of
respectful salutation, anjali mudra, adorned with multiple
necklaces and the hair piled into a high chignon centered
with the head of Amitabha, the tiered crown inlaid with
hardstones, the hair picked out in blue pigment, the eyes
and lips with red and white pigments; and a gilt-bronze
seated Avalokitesvara with hands in the gesture of vitarka
mudra, dressed in a dhoti and pendent jewellery, the hair
tied up in a high chignon behind a tiered diadem.
