QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

The pebble is carved in the round as two
young boys, each modelled with a smiling
expression and holding hands. The stone is
of a pale white tone with russet inclusions.

The pebble is well carved and pierced with
a seated monkey beside its young, their
hands held together holding a peach. The
semi-translucent stone is of an even white
tone.
