A YAOZHOU CONICAL BOWL
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY,
12TH CENTURY
The deep, slightly rounded conical sides are
applied on the interior with six slender ribs of slip
that defne six petals, and the bowl is covered
inside and out with an olive-green glaze that
thins on the ribs.

A QINGBAI CONICAL BOWL
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY,
12TH CENTURY
The bowl has slightly rounded sides decorated
on the interior with a wide band of carved and
rouletted clouds, and is covered inside and out
with a pale blue glaze that continues over the
foot to partially cover the base around the
unglazed center.
