A WHITE-GLAZED LOBED
PORCELAIN JAR
FIVE DYNASTIES-EARLY NORTHERN
SONG DYNASTY, 10TH-11TH CENTURY
The sides of the globular body are divided into fve
lobes below the rounded rim, and the jar is covered
inside and out with a glaze of ivory tone that falls
irregularly above the foot exposing the fne
white ware.

A YAOZHOU CONICAL BOWL
SONG DYNASTY, 12TH CENTURY
The slightly rounded, widely fared sides
are subtly lobed as six petals that rise to the
notched rim and are covered inside and out
with a glaze of greyish-olive color.
