group of warriors in a landscape, inscribed
with the character names; and a famille
rose tea bowl, decorated with a lady and
gentleman greeting each other in a garden
setting, Xianfeng seal mark and of the period.

Painted with the Eight Immortals, each
against a lotus petal reserve, below taotie
masks suspending jewelled pendants and
alternating Buddhist emblems and shou
characters below the rim, the interior with
a lotus flowerhead and double vajra. 9.5cm
(3.3/4in) diam.

Finely enamelled with peony,
chrysanthemum, lotus and prunus issuing
from a leafy meander, all reserved on a
lemon-yellow ground, together with an
associated wood stand. 14.6cm (5 3/4in)
