18th century
Comprising: a ‘crucifix’ bowl and saucer, the
interior of the bowl with the symbols of the
hammer and nails, crown of thorns and flails;
a ‘European subject’ tea bowl and saucer
enamelled with two couples courting in a
garden; another similar ‘European subject’
tea bowl and saucer; an armorial dish with a
puce and gilt decorated flat rim. The armorial
dish: 23cm (9in) diam. (7).

Comprising: a pair of tea cups and saucers
bearing the Arms of New York, circa 1790; a
cream jug and cover bearing a British sailing
ship; a tea cup bearing British and Dutch
sailing ships; a small famille rose cream jug
decorated with scenes of Guanyin amongst
foaming waves; and an en grisaille tea caddy
and cover with a European couple.
The largest 15cm (5.7/8in) high. (10).

Comprising: an ‘Arbor’ pattern plate, after
a design by Cornelius Pronk; an en-grisaille
and gilt plate with a scene of European
figures in a landscape; and a famille rose
enamelled dish with an attendant offering tea
to a gentleman on horseback, and a lady in
a palanquin. The ‘Arbor’ dish 22.8cm (9in)
diam. (3).
