Masayoshi and his followers made a number of netsuke depicting
shishi, either singly or in groups. A somewhat similar composition in
ivory by the artist is illustrated by N. Davey, MTH, p.202, no.612, while
a very similar example in wood by Masamitsu is illustrated in ibid.,
p.203, no.616.
