BROWN JADE FIGURE OF A
RECUMBENT GOOSE
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The goose is shown with neck turned so
that the head rests on the back and with
legs tucked under the body. The stone
has a soft polish.

AN UNUSUAL DARK GREEN
JADE BELT BUCKLE
MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY,
16TH-17TH CENTURY
The convex buckle is carved as a boy
wearing a belted robe shown lying on his
side while holding a large lotus leaf and lotus
stem over his shoulder. The concave reverse
is carved with an animal-mask hook and a
fower head button. The semi-translucent
stone is of even moss-green color.
