18TH-19TH CENTURY
The bird with backswept crest is shown
facing forward with its legs tucked under the
body and holding a leafy sprig of lingzhi in
its beak. The white stone has areas of pale
russet color.

A WHITE JADE CARVING
OF A BIRD AND LOTUS PODS
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The carving depicts a bird seated on two
lotus pods, their stems tied with a ribbon
together with the stems of a lotus fower and
leaf, and a grass, that continue underneath
and around the sides where a crayfsh is
carved on the leaf.
