A fine cloisonné-enamel vase
Meiji (1868-1912) or Taisho (1912-1926) era, circa 1900
The elongated ovoid vase worked in colored enamels and gold and silver
standard and sculpted wires with a pair of long-tailed birds in blossoming
prunus, the foot decorated with floral lappet band and geometric lozenges
and the neck with a collar of chrysanthemums and paulownia , all against a
black ground, the rims silver, signed on a silver tablet Kin’unken tsukuru
With a fitted wood stand and the original wood storage box with a padded
interior

A MORIAGE CLOISONNÉ-ENAMEL VASE
Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th century
Of baluster form worked in gold and silver wires and colored enamels
against a light blue round with three carp swimming in a pond, two of the
fish rising to the surface, their exposed heads and fins and the ripples
around them raised in moriage enamel work, the third fish executed in
musen (“wireless”) technique to appear submerged, the rims silver, the foot
rim stamped Jungin (Pure silver)
