PEAR-SHAPED VASE, HU
Yuan/Ming Dynasty
Rising from a splayed foot to a gently rounded
lower body and waisted neck set with paired
dragon-head handles, all under a protruding
galleried rim, the vase moulded with a band of
archaistic scrolling bird motifs at the neck and
a wave band to the foot, the surface patinated
to a rich coppery-brown hue. 33cm (13in) high
