The heavily cast vessel inlaid overall in silver
wire with medallion of immortals on a wan-
pattern ground on the cylindrical body, under
a band of Buddhist symbols at the shoulder
and phoenixes among flowers and clouds at
the neck, four-character mark to base, 子孫O
用. 44cm (17 3/8in) high.

A BRONZE STUPA
19th century
Supported on an octagonal double lotus petal
stepped base, rising to a gallery with upright
flame motifs, the domed mid-section with
images of the four directional Buddhas in fitted
arched niches, the conical harmika with bands
of swastika motifs, surmounted by a crescent
moon and sun finial with a flaming pearl motif.

Winter’ and a central medallion of carp, shisou
mark to base; the vase with qilin and lotus
design and archaistic taotie bands to the neck
between dragon handles. The dish: 16.5cm (6
