External (formal) examinations:

Business English students may wish to take
internationally recognised examinations to become
qualified to Western specifications, or they might
want to enter into Western universities or colleges.

In certain cases, they may also need certification or
a level of qualification for entry into an English
speaking country prior to getting a Visa. There are a
whole host of certifiable and externally assessed
examinations.

Many external tests/exams are administered by the
British Council in Ukraine, and similar organisation
who have been accredited by the UK/USA
governments as being “legitimate” and legally
accepted to provide credible exams and results for
test candidates.

Example of some external exams:

1. International English Testing System,
(IELTS).
2. Cambridge IGCSE A/AS levels for ESL
speakers
3. Cambridge KET/PET
4. Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)
5. TOEFL- (USA)
6. SATS- (USA)
