                   2.  Business English learners can be confident
                       when making their own language learning
                       self-assessment.
                   3.  Business English learners should
                       professionally and maturely, be able to
                       reflect on their learning processes.
                   4.  They should be able to identify their own
                       strengths, any perceived learning
                       weaknesses.
                   5.  Learners should be mature and confident
                       enough to ask for and seek assistance and
                       help from their teacher/tutor through their
                       communicative styles in a confident manner.

               Continuous assessment


               Continuous regular assessment and analysis of the
               progress of learners is conducted informally and
               constantly. It is more qualitative than quantitative
               and is a valuable tool in ensuring teachers/learners
               are on the right “path” to achieving outcomes.

               Achievement tests

               These tests are administered when a unit or work
               competency has been reached or achieved. There
               are many ways to carry out such test, they can be
               objective or subjective tests. These tests are usually
               carried out one a set target or module has been
               completed. They are usually task based, meaning,
               they could be aligned to a set piece of work from
