The river was wider, the banks not yet over-
grown, and certainly the skyline was barren
and I could see for miles. But this picture re-
vealed how easy it was to find a nice rhythm
leaving Coffee Pot North finding more then
enough water to paddle.
In fact with my 10 ft Mississippi River Paddle
I was glad to have room to use leverage on my
paddle and apply the flex in it that made shal-
low dipping and pulling available to me to fly
over the water.
I got such a kick out of moving
over the water my tow kayak
stayed taunt on the line and fol-
lowed closely.
This skyline blocked, in early May
as I was paddling sitting high on
my Fishing Seat a modification to
give me 6 inches of sitting height
