THE PUT IN

As hard as this is to imagine I can tell you in no uncertain terms that the reality was far worse

then imagining. It was a nightmare. My other options nearby were just slightly under the
bridge with really no water flow but no mud and strictly river stones. Not quite sure how to
manage that one…..

Trampling and stomping on the reeds I knew I could “create” a lauch site, but being a newbie
to kayaking rivers and having some really wrong ideas from some previous paddlers, I had a
nervousness about abusing the landscape and acting like a visitor. Oh sure the spring growth

would soon hide anything I did, but I was excited, this was my first time and like a virgin on
her wedding night, I wanted everything to go perfect…….
