           ZANZIBAR

Zanzibar – This Island is such a magical gem, the thing I liked about it most was the extremely friendly and welcoming people
           – more so on the islands than in Stonetown (the capital). It’s a short flight from Lusaka and what you get when you arrive is
paradise on the Indian Ocean with delicious fresh lobster for next to nothing and delicious cocktails.
We visited with friends from Nungwi Beach and they knew all the best spots on the island, so we were lucky. This was a lazy
trip of laying on the beach, eating good food and partying at all the happening spots on the island. We did also venture into
Stonetown to experience their spice and jewellery markets, where one can easily go mad with all the fantastic choice.

           SEYCHELLES

ut of all my African travel experiences to date, this island is by far my absolute favourite! It has the wow factor on every
Osingle level! Again, people are extremely friendly – a constant throughout my travels so far and I hope it continues.

And the clear blue Indian ocean which is literally seen the whole way through this tiny island with perfect white sandy beaches
is another reason why it is a hit for my family and I. I am not typically a person who enjoys laying on the beach, but I could
have easily done it for one month with a cold locally brewed Seybrew beer in hand. The food was also exquisite! We had an
abundance of seafood, fish and lots of sushi which was all fresh and carefully prepared. We stayed at the Kempinski hotel
which is right on the ocean and we had an ocean front room….utter bliss!

For a full culinary experience, this island is a must do! Personal favourites were grouper fish, red snapper and any of the
Seychellois curries! We made sure to hire a car so that we weren’t limited to resort life which was perfect!
It is also the perfect island for those who want to island hop because Seychelles comprises three major tourist spots; Mahe
which is the largest one, Praslin and La Digue.
