3.10 Performance Reviews
E3 performance reviews are generally conducted annually in Quarter 4 of each year. Each employee and his or her
E3 Manager are also encouraged to have informal performance discussions throughout the year.
The purpose of the routinely scheduled performance reviews is to:
Help employees clearly define and understand their responsibilities.
Provide criteria by which employees’ performance will be evaluated.
Suggest ways in which employees can improve performance.
Identify employees with potential for advancement within E3.
Help managers distribute and achieve departmental goals.
Provide a fair basis for awarding compensation based on merit.
The E3 ITM (Integrated Talent Management) process defines the performance review process in more detail. It is
accessible on the Internal SharePoint Portal.
3.11 Compensation Reviews and Increases
All regular fulltime and regular part-time employees are eligible for consideration of a compensation review.
However, E3 does not guarantee compensation increases of any kind.
A formal compensation review process is typically conducted in December of each year for all eligible employees. E3
considers numerous factors when evaluating compensation increases such as:
General economic conditions
Industry specific economic conditions
E3 financial health
The E3 outlook for the coming year
Review employee salary against the E3 pay-bands to ensure employees are paid competitively
All compensation recommendations are reviewed and approved by the E3 Leadership and E3 Human Resources.
3.12 Personnel Security Clearances
E3 maintains a Top Secret Facilities Clearance issued through the Defense Security Service. This allows E3 to
participate on classified contracts up to the Top Secret level. If you are required to have access to classified
information, E3 may be required to sponsor a background investigation for you, and you may be required to maintain
this clearance in order to continue employment with E3.
3.13 Separation from Employment
Unless required by state law, your employment at E3 is “at-will,” meaning you may be separated from employment
either voluntarily or involuntarily for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. If you are leaving E3, it would
be helpful if you provide as much advance notice as possible to your E3 Manager. A letter of resignation with two
(2) weeks’ notice is customary.
Benefits
If you are enrolled in Medical, Dental and/or Vision insurance plan(s), your coverage will terminate at the end of the
month. All other benefits expire on your last day of employment with E3, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
