Conducting illegal activities
Communications
You are responsible for the content of all text, audio, or images that you place or send over the Internet including,
but not limited to, any web-based sites or programs utilized through E3. Fraudulent, harassing, or obscene messages
are prohibited. All messages communicated on the Internet should have your name attached. No messages will be
transmitted under an assumed name. You may not attempt to obscure the origin of any message. Information
published on the Internet should not violate or infringe upon the rights of others. No abusive, profane or offensive
language may be transmitted through the system. If you who wish to express personal opinions on the Internet, you
are to use non-E3 Internet systems and should refrain from making any representations that would somehow
attribute your personal opinions to E3.
Software
To prevent computer viruses from being transmitted through the system, there will be no unauthorized downloading
of any software to E3’s laptops or client issued computers.
Copyright Issues
While using the Internet, you may not transmit copyrighted materials belonging to entities other than E3. One copy
of copyrighted material may be downloaded for use in research. You are not permitted to copy, transfer, rename,
add or delete information or programs belonging to other users unless given express permission to do so by the
owner. Failure to observe copyright or license agreements may result in disciplinary action from E3, up to and
including immediate termination or legal action by the copyright owner.
Security
All messages created, sent or retrieved over the Internet are the property of E3 and should be considered public
information. E3 and/or Government representatives may access and monitor all messages and files on the computer
system. Internet messages are public communication and are not private. All communications including text and
images can be disclosed to law enforcement or other third parties without prior consent of the sender or the
receiver.
Violations
Violations of any guidelines listed herein, and/or at a client site, may result in disciplinary action, up to and including
immediate termination. If necessary, E3 will advise appropriate legal officials of any illegal activity.
3.18 Care of Company Issued Property and Supplies
You may be provided company issued property for use pertaining to E3 business and clients. This property includes
but is not limited to files (soft and hard copies), correspondence, SharePoint access and knowledge, office supplies
and company property such as computers, phones and other electronic devices. When issued and assigned company
property, you will be required to sign an agreement regarding use, maintenance, and forfeiture of said property
allowing E3 to deduct the replacement dollar value of the items from your paycheck should any item be damaged,
lost, or not returned at time of separation, in accordance with applicable law.
You are responsible for property while it is in your possession and will be charged to repair the property due to
neglect or damage beyond normal wear and tear. Any damage that occurs to company property must be
immediately reported to E3 Human Resources. If theft occurs, you must immediately file a police report and provide
a copy of the report to E3 Human Resources. Failure to do so may be grounds for adverse actions and revoked
privileges.
3.19 Business and Travel Expenses
Business and travel expenses require pre-approval and may vary depending on the client contract requirements.
Refer to the Travel and Expense SOP regarding the specific policies and procedures.
