One time Duke Gediminas rode out, with his servant and lots of
different lords, to hunt. Everyone rode on beautiful horses, their saddles
were embroidered with silver and gold. They had swords fastened on
both sides and small knives tucked behind a belt. In their hands they
held horns that they blew. There were no guns back then - they had to
fight enemies and animals with swords and shot arrows with bows. The
servants brought lots of dogs. That was how they hunted all day.
